An Awe Inspiring Art - Photography

“Imagination, Vision, and Observation in perceptible form.”

Clairvoyance and experience brings forth art with startling clarity that caresses the senses and bonds the viewer to the renderer. Photography is Imagination, Vision and Observation in perceptible form; something that only an artist can see, as Dziga Vertov puts it. Only through their photographs does an artist make it possible for others to see as closely as he / she perceives.

Be it a panoramic view or microscopic, one wonders the nature of things for both seem infinite on their own. Vast expanses or deep trenches, sky's zenith or earth's nadir, all delivered in a way our senses can perceive. Through spuming oceans or barren wastelands, fiery volcanoes or icy peaks, lighted civilizations or dark forests, an artist is always ready to take the next shot. They are waiting, always on toes with limber hands and cameras hung loose - like a gunslinger ready - for that perfect shot.

It does makes one wonder how they manage to imagine art out of the most frivolous things in this world; see beyond the natural appearance of the mundane and literally build something truly breathtaking... Magical!

Never be afraid to do something new!

Never be afraid to do something new,
For life without change is monotonous,
Drab, dreary, an existence platitudinous;
Marking deep fissures of despair, upon lines
Of destinies as they squiggle through times.

When the wind casts upon the dust as due,
Twirling grains, soughing like a flute.
In creeping snakes or a lark’s cadence,
Lies ingenious design, mellifluous tones,
Crooning melody, and colourful refulgence.

Dark clouds looming on high, renders
Intense response, terror and fright;
Ominous thoughts impel Gothic Arts,
Even in black some things look right,
With feverish ardour impress our sight.

Look to the sky azure in all its might,
Feel the power of the growing light;
Find inspiration in the morning dew,
On a pluvial day, through the circling moon,
Never be afraid to do something new,

Trek beyond high walls of the Earth,
Find a mystery unique, people in dearth;
Waterfalls cascade white waters afresh,
Down through the rocks, into the abyss,
Grace prairies with infinite finesse.

As stars come high on a lonely night sky,
Witness the marvel of nature so bright;
Seem twinkling for the pleasure of our eye,
Aren’t heavenly orbs a fiery sight,
Patterns so profound that bring delight?

Perception sets our consciousness alight,
Revealing the insignificance of our lives.
We waste away in the sands of time,
In each grain of sand that falls, etched
are our dull, insipid lies.

Destiny works hard to comply,
With what’s written, that which shall pass;
And in this seemingly meaningless
Existence of ours, we urge upon thee anew:
Never be afraid to do something new!

Happy Holi!

Come Holi Come,
Bringing Joy and love
Children running about with balloons,
Throwing colours, and water guns.

The festival of colours,
Celebrated by all like kids,
Bearing good wishes and sweets,
Parents indulge their friends.

Streets and passing cars,
All coloured and shining bright.
Sharing goodwill by throwing colours
It all feels just so right.

Colour up the world,
Painting each nook and cranny,
This day will keep reminding us
Of the magic and spirit of Holi.

Happy Holi!
